Jesus models two types of gifts (The gifts of Giving and the harder one -- the Gift of Receiving) Several passages from the Gospel of John are referenced to illustrate the importance of being able to allow others to be the gift givers. If we cannot allow Christ to wash our feet how can we accept the gift of the Cross? (Note... the Scripture Reading was mistakenly not videotaped so the text has been inserted in the begining... fear not the sermon will begin after the text!)
